Music City Convention Center Update

January 17, 2008 by admin · View Comments

The Mayor of Nashville met with the Metro Council today to present the new EXPANDED plans for the new Nashville convention center (be sure to watch the video of the newscast as well). The new plan includes more restaurants, more shops, a green roof, and a downtown movie theatre. The new convention center will take up over 15 acres in downtown Nashville, reinvigorate our housing market, add thousands of jobs, and billions in tourist revenue to our city.

I also tracked down the actual presentation given to the Metro City Council. It is interesting to compare the projected 2005 costs to the new 2008 costs. We need to get this thing built before we have to see 2009 costs!
