Davidson county real estate taxes are very out-of-line for property values. I used to be proud to be a Nashville Citizen. We once had reasonable property taxes and I could pay them, immediately each year. Now, I have to pay property taxes, all year long. This obviously occurred following the give away to the Houston Oilers and the building of their arena. Did their arena pay for itself? Is it paying for itself, or are the property tax payers paying? Is this not the same irresponsible poor fiscal plan, with the newly planned convention center? . IS it not an appropriate time to come to the reality we are in a depression, and not spend taxpayer's money on frivolous, exorbitant monuments to the council members and politicians egos?

The Tennessee Titans have just thrown their heavy hitting support behind building a new convention center calling the project, "an excellent opportunity to increase their fan base".

This is a well-written article. You have mentioned all the reasons for supporting and opposing the Nashville Convention Center. You have explained every reason logically and i think there are many prospects coming out of this new convention center rather then cons.
