Privacy Policy
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit a contact or inquiry form on a listing page or elsewhere on the site, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, telephone number (optional) and message. We also record the listing or page you wrote from so that our reply is about the right property.
Information collected with a form submission. Each submission includes your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string. We use these to distinguish legitimate inquiries from automated submissions and to limit abuse. We keep a short-lived, one-way hash of the IP address only to rate-limit repeated submissions, and it expires automatically.
Analytics and cookies. The site uses Google Analytics to measure how the site is used, including pages viewed, time on page, the general geographic region of a visit, and device and browser type. Google Analytics sets cookies and may collect your IP address. Google’s privacy policy describes how Google handles that data. The site’s caching and content-delivery providers (WP Rocket and Cloudflare) may set technical cookies required to serve pages efficiently and securely. These cookies do not identify you to us.
Listing search features. The Realtracs MLS supplies the property listings on the site through an IDX service. If you use features such as saved searches or favorites, the IDX provider may set cookies or request that you create an account. The IDX provider’s own terms govern information collected through those features.
Information we do not collect. The site does not request Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, government identification numbers or payment card information. The mortgage and payment calculators run entirely in your browser; we never receive the figures you enter.
How we use information
We use the information described in this privacy policy for the following purposes:
- To respond to your inquiry and to assist you in buying, selling, leasing or investing in real property.
- To provide information you have requested about a listing, a neighborhood or market conditions. We do not add you to a mailing list without notice, and you may opt out at any time.
- To operate, secure and improve the site, including preventing spam and abuse, diagnosing errors and understanding which content is useful.
- To comply with the legal and brokerage record-keeping obligations that apply to licensed real estate practice in Tennessee.
We do not sell personal information.
How we share information
- Compass RE. With the brokerage Grant Hammond is affiliated with, when needed to respond to your inquiry or to satisfy brokerage requirements.
- Service providers. With vendors that operate parts of the site on our behalf: our web host (WP Engine), our content-delivery and security provider (Cloudflare), our analytics provider (Google) and our email provider. Each receives only the information required to perform its service.
- Transaction parties. With a listing agent, seller or other party to a transaction, only when you ask us to submit an offer, schedule a showing or otherwise act on your behalf regarding a specific property.
- Legal requirements. Where required by law, in response to a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of site visitors or of the site.
Retention
We keep inquiry emails and form entries as business records for as long as we need them to respond to your inquiry and to meet Tennessee real estate record-keeping requirements, and then delete them. Google Analytics keeps analytics data for the period set in our account. You may request earlier deletion as described under “Your choices.”
Your choices
- Access, correction and deletion. To ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request its deletion, email grant@granthammond.com. We will verify the request using the email address from which you contacted us and respond within 30 days.
- Communications. To stop receiving communications from us, reply “unsubscribe” to any email or notify us by email.
- Cookies and analytics. Your browser settings allow you to block or delete cookies. Google provides a browser add-on that opts out of Google Analytics. Blocking cookies does not prevent the site from functioning.
- Do Not Track. The site does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because no uniform standard for them exists.
Children
The site serves adults seeking real estate information and services. We do not direct it to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the site, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We serve the site over HTTPS on a managed WordPress platform, protect it with a web application firewall, and rate-limit form submissions. No method of transmission or storage is entirely secure. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will provide notice as required by law.
Third-party sites
Listing pages and other pages on the site link to third-party sites, including county assessor records, school information, maps and the brokerage. This privacy policy applies to granthammond.com only. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Changes to this privacy policy
When we revise this privacy policy or the Terms of Use below, we update the effective date at the top of this page. You can always find the current version at granthammond.com/privacy-policy/.
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use, together with the privacy policy above, govern your access to and use of granthammond.com. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Purpose of the site
The site publishes property listings, sold records, market data and analysis, calculators and articles concerning real estate in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. We provide it for your personal, non-commercial use in researching the market and identifying properties you may wish to buy, sell, lease or invest in.
Listing information
The Realtracs MLS and its listing brokerages supply listing data through an IDX feed. The information is deemed reliable but is not guaranteed by Realtracs, the listing brokerages or us. Prices, status, square footage, taxes, school assignments and other listing details are subject to change and may contain errors; verify any information on which you rely with the listing agent, the county or an independent inspection. Listing information is provided for consumers’ personal, non-commercial use and may not be used for any purpose other than to identify prospective properties in which you may be interested. Sold records reflect what the MLS or the county recorded at the time of sale.
Market data, analysis and calculators
Market figures published on the site, including medians, averages, days on market, sale-to-list ratios, rate quotes and county appraisals, carry their source and as-of date. They describe past activity as recorded by the source and are not a valuation of any specific property or an indication of terms a lender will offer. The mortgage, payment and investment calculators produce estimates from the figures you enter and the stated assumptions; they are not quotes, approvals or forecasts. We report averages and medians as the source defines them.
No agency relationship; no professional advice
Use of the site or submission of an inquiry does not create an agency relationship with Grant Hammond, BDG Partners or Compass RE. Under Tennessee law, only a written agreement creates an agency relationship. Nothing on the site constitutes legal, tax, lending, investment or appraisal advice; consult a licensed professional in the relevant field before acting.
Intellectual property
Original content on the site, including articles, analysis, charts, page design and code, is the property of Grant Hammond. Listing photographs and descriptions are the property of the listing brokerages and the photographers who created them and appear here under MLS rules. You may view and print pages for personal use. Please do not copy, scrape, republish or compile a database from site content without our written permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to submit spam or false inquiries, interfere with the operation of the site, attempt to access systems or data without authorization, or use automated tools to collect site content. We may restrict or terminate access for violations.
Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability
We provide the site “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Grant Hammond, BDG Partners and Compass RE are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Where applicable law does not permit such a limitation, our liability is limited to the minimum the law allows.
Governing law
Tennessee law governs these Terms of Use. Any dispute arising from the site will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee.
Copyright and DMCA Notice

Accessibility Statement
We want the site to work for everyone. We build the site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, including text alternatives for images, properly ordered headings, keyboard navigation, sufficient color contrast and compatibility with screen readers. Listing content comes from the MLS, and we cannot always supply alternative text for every listing photograph. If you encounter a barrier on the site, email grant@granthammond.com with the page and the issue. We will address what we can and provide the information in an alternative format in the meantime.
